PAY IT FORWARD -- LSSU student trainer Matt McLeod checks basketball player Scott Perkins blood pressure during sports physicals day. Perkins is a member of the LSSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee which is doing a fund-raiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. McLeod is a cancer survivor who had a wish granted in 2004.

Lake Superior State athletes have been selling stars for $1 each for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. (more)
